WORK-IN-PROGRESS AT GHOST RIVER THEATRE
At Ghost River Theatre, we are passionate about crafting original performance experiences through a dynamic, collaborative laboratory process. Here, diverse artists, perspectives, and talents converge to experiment, explore, and discover together. Under the visionary guidance of Artistic Director Eric Rose, we engage theatre performers, writers, designers, and technicians from the very outset of our creative journey.
Our productions evolve over an extended timeline, utilizing multi-phase development workshops tailored to the unique needs of each artist and the specific aesthetics and content of the project. We embrace innovative forms of expression, adopting a nimble and bold approach to create distinct, performative works. This commitment to active research and collaboratively devised creation takes place in the theatrical laboratory of our home venue, the West Village Theatre in the inner-city neighbour of Sunalta, Calgary.
We believe in the transformative power of theatre to create extraordinary experiences for our audiences in Calgary and beyond. However, this ambitious endeavour requires substantial resources, which are made possible through the generous support of our community—through donations, sponsorships, and grants. Together, we can continue to push boundaries and redefine what’s possible in live performance.
Join us on this exciting journey as we cultivate creativity and inspire connections within our vibrant artistic community!
The following productions are currently in different stages of development. We look forward to sharing their progress with you and ultimately, their world premieres!
